On February 28, 2026, youth participants joined an engaging Youth Leadership Training led by Lauri Solomon and Haley Chuor. Through interactive activities and group discussions, students explored how media, marketing, and online environments can influence decision-making.
During the session, participants examined how online platforms shape perceptions of risk and odds, and how marketing can affect attitudes toward gaming and betting behaviors. They also learned how to recognize warning signs when a peer may be struggling and practiced ways to respond with empathy and support.
The training helped students build confidence in communication, leadership, and peer support while learning how to connect friends to trusted help and resources when needed.
By the end of the session, youth walked away with practical tools to think critically, support one another, and make informed, healthy choices.
