May Wang

Board Member, Chinese Culture Connection

Originally from Shanghai, China, May Wang has over twenty years of management experience at an international corporation. She currently leads renewable energy initiatives in the United States, focusing on solar power, energy storage systems, and sustainability, and serves on major technical committees in the U.S., the U.K., and China. 

May lives in Waltham, where she is actively involved in the community. She volunteers with a local ballet group and the public library, and mentors entrepreneurs through ElevAsian, a Massachusetts nonprofit supporting Asian-owned businesses. An avid CrossFitter and outdoor enthusiast, she values both personal growth and community well-being. 

Trained in engineering and technology, May also has a deep interest in social change, cross-cultural understanding, and how communities navigate conflict and transformation. Drawing on her global perspective and professional experience, she is passionate about contributing to CCC through cross-cultural programming, community storytelling, and partnerships across Greater Boston, helping foster cultural awareness and meaningful connections among residents.
