Jen Truong
Board Secretary, Chinese Culture Connection
Jen Truong is a pediatrician and public health nutritionist who has lived in Malden with her husband and two children since 2011. She completed medical school and residency in Canada and moved to Boston in 2006 to pursue additional training in Public Health at Tufts University. Her two teenagers have attended several programs hosted by the Chinese Culture Connection including the Saturday Mandarin classes and summer programs and have attended Malden Public Schools since Kindergarten!
Jen has worked extensively in healthcare and clinical research and currently works for Global Clinical Research Organization as a Senior Medical Director on several different clinical trials that work to develop safer and more effective medicines for patients with a variety of illnesses.
She previously was an adjunct faculty member at the Friedman School of Nutrition at Tufts University and taught several different Nutrition courses for graduate and medical students. She is passionate about nutrition education and loves to garden and help to make gardening more accessible to all. Jen helps to coordinate a local gardening group called “Malden Grows” which organizes free community events including seed and plant swaps, tackling invasive plants around the neighborhood and other educational forums.
Jen also volunteers for the MSPCA and House Rabbit Network to foster dogs and house rabbits.
