Dr. Jing Liu

Advisory Board Member, Chinese Culture Connection

Dr. Jing Liu has been in the medical field for over 40 years. He began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at 16 through private tutoring and underwent training in various martial arts disciplines. He completed his conventional medical doctor training at Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences in China. Furthering his education, he earned a Master’s Degree and a PhD in integrative medicine from the China Scientific Academy of Chinese Medicine (CSCCM) and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Liu was a research fellow engaging in acupuncture and herbal studies in integrative medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School for 17 years. He also worked at the Marino Center of Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for more than 10 years. He has published nearly 40 publications in respected academic medical journals.

In 1995, Dr. Liu established Integra Wellness Health, P.C., a center that provides a wide spectrum of services such as acupuncture, Tui Na (bodywork), herbal remedies, and nutritional consulting. Drawing from his expertise in medical science and martial arts, Dr. Liu has also developed his own bodywork technique known as Daoyin Tui Na. This unique approach focuses on harmonizing the body’s functional structure through gentle, refined stretching, and acupressure. Expanding his influence, Dr. Liu established the Daoyin Health Society (DHS), a non-profit organization dedicated to Daoyin education. Over 6,000 individuals have received training through his teaching team.
