Each year’s Lunar New Year performances are uniquely curated, bringing together artists and enthusiasts from all generations to celebrate the New Year through a vibrant blend of Eastern and Western art forms. Set in a thousand-seat auditorium, this year’s highlights include lion dance, Oom Yung Doe, Peking Opera, fashion showcases, Chinese traditional music alongside modern bands, and Chinese dance, inviting audiences to share in the joy and festive spirit of the season.
每一年的春节演出都各具特色，老中青三代艺术家与文化爱好者同台呈现，汇聚中西艺术之美，在千人礼堂中共庆新春。今年精彩节目包括舞狮、阴阳文化元素、京剧、时装走秀、中国民乐与现代乐队演出，以及中国舞，带您感受热闹喜庆的新年氛围。

Following the great success of last year’s painting activity, the Huaxia team has drawn from that experience to bring you an even richer Lunar New Year celebration this year! Expect more cultural and food booths, with exciting offerings to be revealed soon. From specialty street snacks and festive drinks to traditional holiday activities and hands-on Chinese cultural crafts, come celebrate the New Year and start the season with good fortune and joy!

USPS Lunar New Year Stamp Unveiling Ceremony 农历新年邮票揭幕式

Our event has long served as a stage for the unveiling of the Lunar New Year stamps issued by the U.S. Postal Service. This year, the Postmaster of Boston will join us to introduce the newest release in the series—dedicated to the Year of the Horse.

Every year, the Chinese Culture Connection proudly presents the Malden Lunar New Year Celebration, honoring the culturally significant Lunar New Year celebrated among diverse Asian communities. Over the past 16 years, the event’s popularity has expanded far beyond Malden, attracting attendees from neighboring cities and towns such as Cambridge, Everett, Medford, Melrose, Revere, Saugus, Stoneham, Somerville, Wakefield, and beyond. Today, it has blossomed into one of the largest events of its kind in Greater Boston, welcoming more than 1,000 participants annually from across the region.
